After 27 years of massaging friends and family, and their firm encouragement, I decided to become a massage therapist. So I went to the New Center (now known as New York College of Health Professions) to learn the fundamentals of being a healer. I graduated in 2000 from the New York College and received an Associates degree in Massage Therapy, got my license. I have been working to help those I meet with my new knowledge since. I also have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work and am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and New York Society Of Medical Massage Therapists. I’m experienced at treating many different conditions including sports and other injuries; muscular aches, pains, strains and sprains; carpal tunnel syndrome; stiff neck and shoulders; stress relief and general relaxation. I'm trained in many techniques including AMMA® Therapy, Manual Trigger Point Therapy, Medical Massage, European Massage and various forms of stretching which help increase flexibility and range of motion. To your health, Jim Burdeshaw, LMT
